What’s a completely useless fact you love sharing?
A pregnant cat’s womb looks like a chain with little bumps along it, and each bump contains a kitten.

Or, to put it less elegantly, it looks like a string of sausages. Except the sausages are kittens. 🐈
This is because cats have what is called a bicornuate uterus. Unlike the human uterus, which is roughly pear-shaped, a cat’s uterus has two long branches, called uterine horns. The kittens develop along these horns, each in its own little sac, creating a series of rounded swellings.

So rather than having all her babies growing together in one big space, a mother cat has them lined up in two rows of little compartments.
So there you have it. A completely useless fact, unless you happen to be a vet. Or you’re simply fascinated by birth, anatomy and cats, like I am.
Can you tell? 😆
Btw this is what is inside 🐈❤️:
